About Accenture and Skills to Succeed
Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, with 261,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries.
Corporate citizenship is fundamental to Accenture’s character and the way we run our company as a high-performance business. Skills are a key driver of economic empowerment for individuals and communities alike, and we believe that helping people build the skills, capabilities and confidence that open doors to employment will always be relevant.
Through our Skills to Succeed programme we apply an Accenture core competence – training talent – to make a measurable difference. By 2015, through Skills to Succeed initiatives, we plan to equip 500,000 people around the world with the skills to get a job or build a business.
In the UK, our Skills to Succeed efforts focus on addressing youth unemployment by providing young people, aged 15-24, who are not in education, employment or training, with the support to build skills and obtain employment or self-employment. We collaborate with organisations, like Bright Ideas Trust, who share our passion for building skills, and we are committed to helping young people in the UK to develop the skills and confidence required to change their futures for the better.
We are proud of our longstanding partnership with Bright Ideas Trust. Since 2011, together, we have helped more than 1,000 young people to develop their enterprise skills and business ideas, and have provided funding and mentors to help young entrepreneurs on their path to success.
We are delighted to support ‘Your Lightbulb Moment’. This event will inspire many more young people to turn their talents and ideas into businesses, and to create jobs and opportunities in their local communities. We look forward to helping aspiring entrepreneurs realise their potential and providing the support they need to fulfil their ambitions.
We would also like to thank the following for their support in making this event possible:
